At my school, that would be WiFi Lab, Trajectory, Scrambler.
Don't ask for reasoning, that was what people didn't pick apparently. The events that I wanted were WIDI, Rocks and Minerals, Environmental Chemistry, Green Generation, Forestry, and Bridge (don't mind how small my team is = how many events we all do), and I got WIDI, Forensics, Environmental Chemistry, Green Generation, Forestry, Chem Lab, and Bridge.

Oh boy.
Every single build event is the bane of my team's existence. They absolutely despise Bottle Rocket and Flight and Bridge--just never did well in these at States.
Looks like it's changing this year, though!

Mission Possible was always the bugbear when I competed. It was nearly impossible to get anyone to pick it up. Earth science events were similar--I ended up doing R&M and Fossils because I was the only one willing to touch them.

Study event person here. Builds always seem overly complicated and on all of the tests I end up doing amazingly without preparation! Still want to do Towers and maybe even Detector, Scrambler, or Wind (one or a combination) next year! I suppose I'm all over the place.
Never thought about Mission Possible, but it sounds exhausting. Rocks and Minerals as well as Dynamic Planet sound fun though, so I can't really relate to that.

As a biochemistry major they were not up my alley. I actually enjoyed the ID aspect of Rocks, but Fossils is probably one of my least favorite events. I just couldn't get into it.
Builds are challenging yet rewarding, IMO. As someone who was placed on Wright Stuff (due to the same issue of nobody really wanting to do it--I really let my coach do anything to me, huh) with little to no experience, I had a hard time figuring it out at first. Once I got it going though I was super stoked. Never ended up doing particularly well largely due to a lack of time, but it still really gave me an appreciation for builds.

jaspattack,
Oh my gosh I completely agree with builds being challenging and rewarding! The feeling of seeing a plane circle nicely to right under the rafters is the best in the world. Worth the nights spent suffering over gluing tiny pieces of balsa together.
onshape,
Wow, you're the exact opposite of me! Except that I avoid study events like the plague...
Scrambler is pretty fun. Give it a go if you get some time, and feel free to DM if you have questions! Always happy to help
Mission Possible actually looks fun, too. It gets some hate and I totally see why. Definitely a time commitment but it looks interesting, and I have a slight temptation to try it...

For sure! I'm planning on doing any build if they're not taken, given I have time! Hopefully our team has Scrambler in place already as one of my friends is really good with all the strenuous parts of that build (:

Nobody wanted It's about Time - not even a little bit. I think that's the only event that didn't even get a hint of interest this year.

I definitely have a hint of interest for It's About Time, as I have a hint of interest for every event, but I would rather have WIDI or Remote Sensing.

IAT looks quite intimidating. Even as someone who mains builds, I would never have the courage to try it...
