excess rain, seismic activity (like tectonic plate movement), erosion, just to name a few

Erosion? I don't really think that would trigger it unless you mean slope undercutting/oversteepening.

Classify each of the following locations as located on a convergent plate boundary, a divergent plate boundary, or as a hotspot (as in a geologic one, not a popular tourist attraction). Some locations may fit into more than one of these classifications:
A. Hawaii
B. Iceland
C. Galapagos
D. Alaskan Aleutian
E. Japan
F. Greenland
G. Yellowstone
H. Tahiti
I. Himalayas
J. Great Rift Valley

Hello! I don't know if I can just jump in (I'm new to the entire competition), but here are my answers:
Hawaii - Hotspot
         Iceland - Divergent & Hotspot
         Galapagos - Divergent & Hotspot
         Alaskan Aleutian - Convergent
         Japan - Convergent
Greenland - Divergent? it's not really on the fault, but it's close
         Yellow stone - Hotspot
         Tahiti - Convergent
         Himalayas - Convergent
         Great Rift Valley - Divergent

I can verify that is correct (although Tahiti might be a hotspot, I'm not sure), so now you can ask a question.

Tahiti is a hotspot and so is Greenland but go ahead and ask a question ;)

Place the following in approximate chronological order :
-Rodinia
-Ur
-Pangea
-Pannotia
-Hudsonland
Bonus : where does Rodinia get its name?
