If they are getting very high voltages, their blades are probably well balanced, and so very stable even when spinning at very high speeds.

What are some tips in balancing it? Like, sticking some stuff behind the cd?

What are you (addressing all who are on Physical Science Lab B division) putting in your binder? Are you just "throwing" printed out notes/information into it or are you actually taking a website/textbook article and taking out important pieces and collaborating that into your binder?

In other words, are you making a binder full of notes or a binder with only a selective bit of information?

Are you guys focusing more on the binder/information part or the blade part? why?

It depends on what's your strength. I'm a study person so I focused on the studying, and even though our combined was 600-something, we still got 3rd. However, if you prefer building, then I would focus on that. Just not exclusively so you have an idea on the studying.

the blade part, because my partner and i didn't even have a binder in regionals (we kinda forgot) and we still got 5th so...

If you want to do well at nats, you'll need to focus on both aspects.

The blade part is probably the easiest to improve at first but once you get to a certain point, it's really hard to make a breakthrough.

I definitely have to agree with that, during our first few weeks of building and testing, we saw a large amount of improvement, but at the point where we are now..., breaking our highest voltage is very difficult... We don't know what else we could do
