Re: Remote Sensing
Anything specific I should put in my 5 pages of double-sided notes for this event?

how much math?
How much math do you need to know for this? I'm currently in geometry. Do you think I'll be okay for the math aspect of the event?

Re: Remote Sensing
You should be, I know in the past few years any math I had to use was really just finding distances, area, and slope. Not too difficult, if you've had Earth Science will be easy.

Re: Remote Sensing
My guess would be a lot. Technology has drastically improved since then and global warming has snowballed into a monster topic since then. While a lot of ideas might be similar, just the change in the technology and how we go about collecting the data has probably changed significantly.

Re: Remote Sensing
I'm not so sure how much it's changed on remote sensing on earth. Clearly in the 80s they wouldn't have even dreamed of making the event about Mars.. but I really don't know how drastically our satellite stuff has changed in 20 years. I would still recommend updating your book.

Re: Remote Sensing
Well just think how much the glaciers have retreated since then, and the worsening of hurricanes and such.
But yeah, usually its a good idea to have updated material for science.
