Oak Valley is yet undefeated! The total number of bids for state this year is 6 schools for Miramar College regional and 7 schools for USD regional
That seems quite a lot, that means 13 teams per division from San Diego.
I believe states this year will be larger.
Only by 3 teams, which will be added from the new Santa Barbara regional I believe. @bear correct me if I'm wrong.

I know for a fact that there are 13 schools from San Diego, making that three more than last year, along with the 3 new Santa Barbara schools. Is any regional losing any bids?

We have been working closely with the Caltech administration and with the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, Caltech has advised us to cancel this year’s SoCal State Science Olympiad Tournament. We respect Caltech’s judgment and support the decision to cancel the tournament. While we know there will be disappointment among students, coaches, supervisors and parents after all the hard work that has been put into their season, we need to put health and safety first. We encourage teams to prepare for next year; our state and regional planning teams will focus on planning events and generating excitement for the upcoming season. Due to the nature of coronavirus (COVID-19) precautions on social distancing and community spread, rescheduling is an unlikely option.
