Prediction: Bay will be able to get second (or third) place, given how hard our team's worked. Good luck to every team and I cannot wait to see my competition!thecatgod wrote:Good luck to everyone competing tomorrow. Third is definitely possible if Grover doesn't get third.Rivkaaa wrote:Prediction: Bay will be able to get second (or third) place, given how hard our team's worked. Garnet placements (min, max based off of medals)
1) Community (64, 130) and 12 golds
2) Springhouse (88, 253)
3) Bay Academy (111, 342)
4) Bala Cynwyd (133, 298)
5) Harlan Rowe (133, 397)
6) Grover (167, 563)
Events:
Road (3):
The test was extremely good, I really liked how they ran the event. The test was hard and the questions were mostly clear. (8.5/10)
Mystery Architecture (1):
The material list was okay but I honestly would have liked more materials. However, they ran the event pretty fairly. (7/10)
Glider (1):
Our coaches ran this so I'm not going to state my opinion on this event, but I made sure to let them know to strictly enforce 1)Pictures and Videos and 2)Parents helping kids. Not sure how well they enforced it though. Also, they did a good job of being impartial with timing (they asked another student helper to time for us instead).
Roller (idk but tier )
The event supervisors ran this pretty well honestly. I really appreciate how they enforced every single rule perfectly, even if we were the ones getting tiered :\ Apparently about 15 teams got tiered the same way as us though lol. (8/10)
Duct Tape (4):
The prompt was weird but i don't know how much they enforced the tier system. They were clearly trying to not tier/dq anyone. (7/10)
Parasitology (1):
The event supervisors were really nice! I got to meet anomaly too . The test was similar to last year's though :\

Re: Garnet Valley Div B Invitational 1/26/19
Buggy (2): The event was run great! Directions were given clearly to us by a helper, and all aspects of the event, such as impound and whatnot we're run really well. Shout-out to Bedford's coach and helpers (9/10)
Boomi (3): It seemed pretty normal, nothing out of the ordinary here. Bay academy (I think) did a great job of making the event run smoothly and throughly. (7/10)
Mystery (1): Great prompt, clear directions. It was very straightforward, and judged fairly and accurately. Thanks, Bala Cynwyd's event supervisors! (8/10)
Road (3): Pretty straightforward test, nothing really out of the ordinary as well. Nothing much to say here, but I guess the event was run smoothly. (6.5/10)
Roller (10): Event was run great as usual, it was the same supervisor as Rustin. Not much to say here as well, but I was tiered because of a mislabeled start line I think. Overall, the rules could've been followed a little more loosely. (6.5/10)
Parasitology (1): They reused last year's parasitology test. Stations we're run smoothly. (4.5/10)
Duct Tape (4): Pretty simple task, it was run pretty normally as well. Supervisors were pretty nice, and it was a great time to relax in between my other events. (7/10)
