how fast is your coin sorter for a perfect score?
Our school's did it in 12 seconds (at 1 meter high).

Later (after Nationals) I would love to know what everyone else used for their designs. With so many different teams, some may be really original.

So, uh...
There's one day until we leave for nationals.

We need to find a coin sorter.
Any ideas?

We are in your EXACT same boat. Some of our brilliant brainstorming ideas:

Make something that randomly puts coins into four containers. Tier 1 is probable, and a perfect score is still possible!
Something with holes in it that shakes around + pray

Or, our most likely plan at this point -
make something terrible, and cross our fingers for Tipping the Scale.

good luck with yours. at least you (unlike us) don't need to BEGIN getting data for trajectory, calibrate your scale, finish egg-o-naut, and finish EV. yeah... we weren't really expecting to win states since it is our first year doing science olympiad. we're pretty screwed, but at least we'll have a good time.
