Re: Texas 2013
Does anyone know if Texas puts out a tentative list of Texas trial events at some point? Or do you just find out whenever they post the official event slate?

A better-organized and easier-to-follow version is also available at http://www.soinc.org/sites/default/file ... -17-13.pdf.sofan wrote:http://www.soinc.org/sites/default/file ... -14-13.doc
it lists the possible events.
then go to soinc.org and find the event.

Re: Texas 2013
We didn't do it at the time (didn't think we'd need to) but it was kind of weird because the proctors' times were wayyy off compared to the times of our many many trials. And we meticulously made sure the flooring was the exact same, all conditions were the same... All in all, Friday was just a bad day for everyone...jacobxc wrote:Did anyone here time there own Grav vehicle and the proctors be off by 0.45 seconds or more

Re: Texas 2013
We were over a second off with our time estimate on friday and while it could partially be due to the surface changes, I really doubt it was that much of a difference, so I'd agree that timing may have been an issue.

Re: Texas 2013
why did they choose that room for helicopters? Some of them got stuck in the air vents. Not a good place. They need to get a better location in future years.(I feel bad for those whose heli got stuck)

New school year! New scioly season! Another year to do something great!

Re: Texas 2013
Well, at any rate, it seems like Friday mostly effected everyone the same way (except possibly the MagLev test and those pesky Storm the Castle winds), so I doubt the scores were impacted too much. Fortunately, Saturday went a lot better...
This year has definitely inspired my team to work harder and hopefully make a shot at the top 5 next year. I hope we can get enough people to make it happen though...

Re: Texas 2013
same for us. And we need to decide quicker when we want to appeal. (it tooks us 20 min to decide whether we wanted to tell the judges that we got less time than the even teams.Whole process took 1 hour.We still got 4th.)(triple E)GeoChamp96 wrote:Well, at any rate, it seems like Friday mostly effected everyone the same way (except possibly the MagLev test and those pesky Storm the Castle winds), so I doubt the scores were impacted too much.
