Attenuation is the decrease in energy of a wave. For example, a person might not hear a sound wave from a source because it has attenuated before it reached the hearer.

Light refracts from air to crown glass (refractive index of 1.55) with an angle of 30 degrees from the normal.
a) What is the angle of light in the crown glass from the normal?
b) What is the speed of light in the crown glass? Use 2.998 x 10^8 as an approximation for the speed of light.
c) What is the critical angle from the crown glass to the air?
Show your work and/or formulas, and state the answer in scientific notation correct to 4 significant digits.

Should I ask another question to get this started again?
What's the difference between passive and active sonar?
EDIT: Come on please! Isn't anyone doing Crave the Wave?
