Since you can bring a binder (unless I was unaware of a rule change), there's no reason not to bring one. We loaded ours last year and didn't finish below first for the last three tournaments.

Does anyone know of any good resources for the UTM system?

Satellite imaging and UTM won't be as big of a part, I'd assume imaging is just the basics, so check maybe the Remote Sensing Wiki for info on that.

What maps did you use for nationals? Just wondering. I imagine that it is a Wisconsin map.

I think it was the Idaho/Montana map (those were in 1 map) and some topographic maps. Also there was one satellite image.
