Sadly, Unome was only right about 5th place at the UNG- Gainesville Regional. Crews Middle School did, indeed, place 5th overall and was 3rd place team with a bid to the State Tournament.

Results were as follows:

Disease Detective Proctor showed up several hours late, so DD was run after all other events had finished as a trial and did not count in the Overall Team score totals. FYI - FSA Blue was 1st in DD, Dodgen A was 2nd.

Riverwatch did pretty well. State qualifiers were pretty clear-cut (and of course FSA and Dodgen take all of the top four spots). Wasn't expecting FSA to win; that was pretty cool. State will be fun, especially with Vickery Creek at a stronger level than last year.

Yes, Riverwatch got a number of medals and did a really good job. I would have liked to see them move on. Based on the score sheet, it looks like they may have split teams. If so, that was certainly a strategic mistake.

The Georgia State - Perimeter regional is next week. There will be six 2016 State Qualifying teams there fighting over 3 State Invitations. That is going to get ugly. Meanwhile, at East Georgia College, there are no 2016 State Qualifiers in next week's field.....

It was a nail-biting finish for FSA's newly minted high-school and Div C team at the SPSU regionals. Kudos to the kids and their coaches!
