This year, we definitely were happy to go to nats again, but there is nothing that can replace that feeling of last year.
The second-place team was crying this year after they were announced 2nd...I guess they must have been upset about breaking their win streak.
But I vividly remember the award ceremony...the 3rd place Div C team was called, and when they started walking off, we all got really nervous because we had performed really well. Of course, the "perennial power" of VA had also performed very well, and neither of us had been called to get our trophies yet. When the lady started announcing 2nd place and it wasn't us, we all started freaking out. It seemed forever to get the 2nd place Division C team off the stage
And finally, the champions were announced and we all went crazy
I think I'm still dreaming

Ugh, can time slow down? Time is slipping by too fast....

i agree! last year was my teams first time going, and when they called our name "first place: ARCHIMEDEAN MIDDLE CONSERVATORY, B-1" everyone freaked out!! our coach was crying and half the team was crying!! we were so happy that we started running around the campus screaming and laughing... and then i scraped my knee to the bone. FAIL. but its true, ill never forget the feeling of my first time learning i was going to nationals and actually going! I LOVE MY TEAM!
(then again, who doesn't?!)
