Re: Texas 2018
We were told all teams besides those at the katy regional were added.
This is from the state website
“30 schools per division will advance from regionals to State competition. Two (2) international slots will also be available on a non-competitive basis.”
The ALSO makes me think it’s 30 from Texas and 2 international

That's a possibility. TSO anyways should be updating and releasing team numbers soon since the last regional is over, so I guess that'll answer it.cool hand luke wrote:We were told all teams besides those at the katy regional were added.

I hope so, we really need to book a hotel and make arrangements.
I really wish they didn't have this on muster weekend when hotels are freaking impossible to get.

Since there are 9 spots left for division C, does that mean 9 schools will be added from the Katy regional? (Or 7? I'm not really sure how the 2 spots for international teams work)

I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I think they'll take 4-5, maybe even 6 teams from KRT, and then wildcard the last spots from other regionals that had fewer accepted teams.saltyaf^2 wrote:Since there are 9 spots left for division C, does that mean 9 schools will be added from the Katy regional? Does anyone have results from Rio Grande, Corpus Christi, or Fort Worth (at Tarrant county college) by any chance?

How are your schools approaching the issue of building the state team and schedule without knowing the team numbers?

If you haven’t decided the state team by now you might as well wait until the team numbers come out, which should be within the next 5 days.phoenix2000 wrote:How are your schools approaching the issue of building the state team and schedule without knowing the team numbers?

Re: Texas 2018
They put the teams from Katy Regional on the website, but LASA is missing from the list although they were first?
If you account LASA for a spot that means there is still two spots left for the other regionals.
My team was disappointed because we got 5th at Gulf Coast and Memorial, who got 4th, was allowed a spot on state... is there a slight chance that we could get into state too? After all, the team size at Gulf Coast was close to Katy's with 17 teams.
