We'll all miss you, but I'm glad to hear that you will be doing new things that interest you. I think that is important. Thank you for starting this incredible website and everything you have done since. Please stop by to visit when you have the chance, it won't be the same. There is no hug smiley, so this will have to suffice:

I could've posted this on your Facebook status, but I figured it would be more appropriate to place it here.

robot, it has been a delight to work with you for the past five-plus years wow we're old. There are very few people who have made as much of an impact on Science Olympiad and the thousands of students who compete each year as you have. The fact that you did this all while juggling high school and college life is even more impressive. In the time that you've been in charge of the board, we've improved so many aspects of the site. I think we sometimes get hung up on the things that didn't work, but there are so many things that did and you're responsible for so many of them. Without you, this site would be nothing like it is today.

I was robotman's first addition to the staff when he took over and for a long time I worked as his second-in-command. I frequently handled things on the community side of the site, so at times I may have appeared more visible than robot, but make no mistake: robotman has done 100x more for this site than I ever have. Pretty much everything you see on this website beyond the basic forum and wiki structure is thanks to robotman. Scioly.org is losing probably its greatest staff member of all time.

bernard is going to do an excellent job as the new manager of this site, and from what I understand the handoff has been smooth. Robotman left big shoes to fill, so it's a good thing (saint) bernards are big dogs.

Hey z, at the top of the board index there's a link that says 'ACP', so I clicked on it and it showed me a login page, so I logged in, and some page showed up and I think I accidentally made myself an admin for a few seconds before I logged out

EDIT: So I logged into the ACP thing again and srsly I have no idea what I did      sorry

EDIT: Wait nvrmind I see what that is now :D

Even though I didn't really know you very well, I've seen all the work you've put into SO and scioly.org. From the 2014 forum update (omg that was awesome) to ESUS, which makes every other signup system look weak in comparison (hey we still get ESUS right? it'd be so hard to revert to SignupGenius after checking out ESUS) you've influenced SO in so many ways. While your mark may not always be easy to find, it's definitely there.

robotman wrote:Hello Scioly.org

As you all know I have spent the last 5 years running Scioly.org, I started out on this site in 2008. It has been a lot of fun and an incredibly rewarding experience. However, I have spent a large chuck of my life since middle school competing in Science Olympiad and helping out on Scioly.org. I have been posting constantly, and most likely added more words to the wiki then all my school essays combined. As time has passed I have had less time and energy to devote to improving our site. I have had my fill of banning bots whose goal in life is to advertise for their shoes, or for "performance" drugs. I have had my fill of rollovers and spammers. I started passing the torch almost exactly a year ago, and tonight I have completed the final major hurdle. I am handing Scioly.org over to the next generation to see what you can do to make this site even better. Good luck to all of you. This has been the last chapter in my Science Olympiad journey.

Humbly,
Robotman
Be sure to visit sometimes..! Even though I'm fairly new, I appreciate all the work you've put to this site. You're the real MVP. *Claps*
