Hi guys,
I'm a Water Quality Veteran and a Green generation Novice. Other than the EPA website and the soinc.org website where can I find relevant and helpful study material for the event.
I need test prep help!!!
Also, Other than the 3 practice Tests on this website, where can I find more tests for green generation!!! Wlling to trade/exchange tests for other events just hmu on the low tho

Does ocean iron fertilization (the geoengineering proposal) counts as a form of bioremidation? What do you think?

Re: Green Generation B/C
Can anybody confirm whether life history patterns (age structure, succession, r/k-selection, etc.)
is for both divisions B and C or just division C. Thanks!

Re: Green Generation B/C
Maybe I'm wrong, but my rules for Division C mention overview of the general principles of ecology and don't say anything specific between the two divisions. I think it's a good idea to look at the life histories and such since it's a good part of ecology anyways but to prioritize the topics that the rules outline first (food webs, community interactions, nutrient cycling, populations, species, etc.)

Re: Green Generation B/C
Okay, I was just wondering because the Division B event rules don't specify it. But on the event powerpoint (from soinc.org) it lists life history patters/strategies as only for Division C. I just wanted to clear up whether or not it applied to Division B (because it would make sense if it did since that's general ecology).

Re: Green Generation B/C
Yeah, in general I think that referring to the rules is definitely a good idea but it wouldn't hurt to study the other stuff too if you've got extra time. You never know what could show up

Thank you!cupcakegirl wrote:I think it's a good idea to study the Water Quality indicator species from the past few years, because it's a likely source proctors will go to on the aquatic side. For air indicator species, a quick google search will bring some up, such as lichen.rab 666 wrote:Are the indicator species listed on the event parameters similar to the ones in Water Quality? Where should we go to study these? Thanks

Re: Green Generation B/C
Just curious, but for air pollution are we supposed to be studying indoor air pollution as well as outdoor air pollution? I'm focusing mostly on outdoor air pollution but checking up on indoor stuff too, just in case... wondering what you guys are thinking/doing. Thanks!
