Sorry that this is late, I just got up to it. You most likely already have an answer for this. I couldn't find why it was exotic, but I find out other information that pertains to it being endangered. However, most of my trouble was found on the Italian Wall Lizard (specifically impact on local ecosystems and economies).caseyotis wrote:

Am I the only one having trouble finding good info on the Red-Bellied Cooter (Pseudemys rubriventris)? It says at many sources that it's endangered and threatened, but I have found nothing on its introduced status. It's listed as Exotic on the guideline. I don't know what to do!

Re: Triple E [NY & TX Trial]
I just listed it as an endangered species in my binder and put it as a mistake. .-.theriddler wrote:Sorry that this is late, I just got up to it. You most likely already have an answer for this. I used this: http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/administrati ... izards.pdf
It was pretty useful. However, I don't really get the vibe that people are listing the species as invasive and detrimental to the environment. No research or methods otherwise are being used to limit the population.

Re: Triple E [NY & TX Trial]
That irks me for some reason. They shouldn't make mistakes. That's very unprofessional.
Maybe they have a source we're missing? Has anyone read the book about reptiles and amphibians?
The Amphibians and Reptiles of New York State by James P. Gibbs, Alvin R. Breisch, Peter K. Ducey and Glenn Johnson (APR 5, 2007)
This one? Maybe it has something about the cooter being exotic.

Do you think that the pictures of the animals will be in black and white?

Re: Triple E [NY & TX Trial]
For NY, I think that the pictures will most likely be in color. However, I'm using the dec.ny pictures as part of my studying, and those are in black and white. I think those may come up because that's such an important source. I'd study those pictures if I were you.
