Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Nice, I might have seen you there and not realized it. Even though I probably won't be there this year, good luck!
However, I do know that there are others on this site who are probably going, even though they haven't replied yet.

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
I am most certainly excited to be going again. I really liked the difficulty of the tests, as it made Regionals seem like almost nothing. Though I still don't understand how to do well in Fermi.JuiceBagel3 wrote:To anyone who's going to Athens invitational, who's excited?

Excited for the competition, not excited to have to be at school at 3 AM to get there on time...this is the second time we've gone and the last time I was a freshman so I didn't compete. Should be fun.JuiceBagel3 wrote:To anyone who's going to Athens invitational, who's excited?

I understand how you feel, though I don't have to be there that early, jeez that's early.computergeek3 wrote:Excited for the competition, not excited to have to be at school at 3 AM to get there on time...this is the second time we've gone and the last time I was a freshman so I didn't compete. Re: Pennsylvania 2013
My team is going again this year, I'm excited for the competition. It seems like it keeps getting more and more competitive each year. Hopefully more teams from the SE PA teams will go to athens. A lot didn't attend due to distance and proximity of Conestoga relative to Athens and the conflict date of the invites. Over the years the experience that is gained from well run tournaments like Athens is great for later competitions and motivation to do better and really get "down to business". We should have a scioly.org meet up at Athens

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
The websites/PDF's for the invitationals are now available on the state website. Sign up early (like, now) if you plan to go, since it makes things a lot easier for your team later on.

Yep, hopefully we'll be going to Athens, though according to their website, 17/30 teams are already signed up, so hopefully we can get administration approval before the invite completely fills up :SEASTstroudsburg13 wrote:The websites/PDF's for the invitationals are now available on the state website. Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Yeah, unfortunately neither I nor my coach can do anything about it at this point - we just have to hope that the District Office signed it and sent it off to Athens. We're also basically broke now (if not slightly in debt) because we have to share our transportation budget with other clubs and Athens took quite a chunk out of our shared supply budget as well...OtherWhiteMeat wrote:1 spot leftAlphaTauri wrote:Yep, hopefully we'll be going to Athens, though according to their website, 17/30 teams are already signed up, so hopefully we can get administration approval before the invite completely fills up :S
Ah, bureaucratic red tape.
