Re: Hotel or Dorms?
dorms....
every. year. >.< bc its cheaper, and it "builds character" and ... i don't know, but we ALWAYS stay in the dorms. Wisconsin dorms weren't too terrible, but I couldn't stand illinois.... hopefully Florida is better.

No matter what the experiment's result, there will always be someone eager to:(a) misinterpret it(b) fake it, or (c) believe it supports his own pet theory.

Wisconsin dorms were absolutely awesome. I doubt any other college campus could be expected to match Ogg Hall.purplepeopleeater wrote:dorms....

Re: Hotel or Dorms?
Personally, I thought the UIUC dorms were better. And of course, our local university dorms are apparently even better than that.

Which dorm did you stay in at Wisconsin? Ogg was way nicer than Chadbourne and Sellery, so if you stayed in Chadbourne or Sellery, your lower opinion of Wisconsin dorms would be more understandable than if you stayed in Ogg.foreverphysics wrote:Personally, I thought the UIUC dorms were better. Re: Hotel or Dorms?
We went to breakfast for Ogg once. It was a lot nicer than Sellery but Sellery wasn't as bad as everyone said it would be. At least there weren't any weird blood stains in the girls' floor.Luo wrote:Which dorm did you say in at Wisconsin? My friend and I still go around saying "Sellery Hall".
Dorms were a bunch of fun last year. Plus everything is within walking distance so you don't really need any cars. Wisconsin had everything you needed within walking distance.

Re: Hotel or Dorms?
From what I can tell, all the dorms in the Libra Community at UCF are nearly identical to each other, so there won't be as much disparity in quality this year.hpfananu wrote:It was a lot nicer than Sellery but Sellery wasn't as bad as everyone said it would be.
I really do think that the dorm experience was part of what made nationals so fun last year.hpfananu wrote:Dorms were a bunch of fun last year.

Re: Hotel or Dorms?
I was looking at the floor plan of the dorms at Nats this year and they don't look too bad at all
and yeah we stayed at Sellery - still better than illinois...
as far as the experience- alot of our stories do come from staying in the dorms...

Re: Hotel or Dorms?
I found out today that we (Mounds View High School) will be staying in Citrus Hall. Anyone else found out which dorm they'll be in?
