Buying Wood

Does anybody know of a good place to buy 1/16 inch wood that is not online?

depends where you live and the shops close by
some stores may, just have to call or visit them

Michaels usually does carry 1/16th inch balsa sheets. I believe there are a few Michaels stores in Durham and Raleigh.

I have found Hobby Lobby to be really good for wood, but Jo-ann carries a nice selection as well. Usually, there is a decent variety of wood grains and sizes at hobby lobby. I have never found michaels a good source, their wood is usually cut on a bad grain.

I was vacationing in North Carolina a while ago and I found that AC Moore had a really good selection of wood, including 1/16th (and I think 1/32nd) sticks. Unfortunately, they do not have stores where I live.
