Appreciate it but what teams would you take out?
American Columbia Lynbrook
You have more confidence in us than I do lol. Also surprising that FMHS didn't get any votes...

American has done really well so far this season (7th @ BEARSO, 9th @ UT, 2nd @ Yosemite). They outperformed Marquette at BEARSO and Yosemite and LASA at BEARSO and UT, though I'd expect LASA to improve as the season progresses.

Lynbrook beat Marquette and LASA at BEARSO as well.

And I totally forgot that Centerville existed :flushed:. Have they attended any comps yet/which comps are they going to?

They haven’t competed yet this season. I asked a captain what their invite plans were (in like November?) and idt they had a specific one in mind for the future.

Pretty nice that Lynbrook is being ranked here despite not qualifying for state in the past, seems people are taking notice of them.

Interesting how the only Virginia schools to get votes were TJ and Fairfax... IMO Langley and Lake Braddock are stronger than Fairfax (which has been slipping since 2019, if my memory serves me right), so seeing those two absent but Fairfax as an honorable mention was a bit of a surprise to me. I suppose we'll see exactly what the pecking order among those three is this weekend at MIT.

Just goes to show that more often than not, these Midseason Polls are just people thinking they know teams from other states, going through 2019 nats results and reentering them into a google form.

LOL no one even voted for Ladue HS...

I feel like we'd have a very good chance of being top 25, and Pembroke Hill definitely hasn't been better than us since 2019, from my more familiar knowledge of Missouri teams.

Of course, with no real non-nationals benchmarks with which to compare teams from different regions (excluding the few teams that regularly attend big invites like MIT) even in normal times, and especially this season with no 2020 nationals results to go off of, there's really no way to rank the "top 25 teams" with any degree of objectivity, IMO.

I just don't think either MO team is top 25 until they prove they are to be honest. Pembroke hasn't proved it yet with a poor showing at Uchic, and Ladue hasn't competed much (if at all?) I think if this is goijg by a 1 team/state rule Ladue would certainly be getting votes.

Absolutely no bias at all, but MO just got an influx of OP div b people (LMS got 11th at the latest div b nationals) so I think we are top 25. *knock on wood*
Again, absolutely no bias at all... please dont look at my profile

I looked at your profile, what do I do now?

All jokes aside, I really don't think lack of competitions should doom a school (farmerjoe279 is 100% correct above).
