Hi all,

We've decided to release a fee waiver for teams that find themselves unable or struggling to pay for our competition. Please fill out this form if you are in this situation, and we will get back to you with more information. Our goal is to strike a balance between underfunded, new teams and underfunded, disadvantaged teams, but we will take into consideration other teams as well. Moreover, we may offer you a SkyCiv license for Digital Structures, if that is something that your club lacks funds for. We understand the struggles that teams may face, new or not to the Science Olympiad community, and want to do our best to help.

In addition, we've increased our team cap to 120 teams in division C (not including fee-waived teams, which will increase this total)! We are extremely thankful for all the interest our invitational has received - we have over 140 teams from 28 states!

Thank you so much!

Hi all!

Competition has started! Good luck to all students, teams, and coaches for the next 7 days!

We want to thank everyone who has contributed to make this competition possible. From the amazing event supervisors who have put dozens and dozens of hours into test writing to the interested students and coaches, this event would not have been possible without every single one of you!

As a general reminder, there should be no test discussion through any private or public method of communication until the testing period is over on Saturday, March 13th, at 9:00 PM PST.

Thank you!
On behalf of the BirdSO Tournament Directors,
Jason Chang

Hi all!

Please do not begin tests starting at 11:00 PM PST (2:00 AM EST). The Scilympiad servers will be refreshed at 12:00 PM PST (3:00 AM EST) and will have a 10 minute downtime. Any teams that start during this period will NOT be granted an extension or redo if their answers are not saved. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

Thanks!
Jason Chang
