Why Adlai so much higher than New Trier?

8th to 12th is not a very significant margin, depending on what scores end up being.

Thoughts:
- Solon way too low
- Harriton too low, still a strong team
- Columbia too high
- Probably move solon to third, and move everything down a place

I based Solon on invitational results that I've seen, primarily Cornell where they would have lost to Columbia even if manually stacked. As for Harriton, I'll update once I see the results for PA states, but as of now each of the teams ranked above them have done well so far this season, while Harriton is definitely on a downward trend.

I would also move wwp south up...

The invitational results for wwp south dont look great and while I would expect south to do better than predicted here there isnt any data to support that.

If Mountain View could close the gap to 20 points at State, continuing a trend from the past two years, then that would be good result for them. Mira Loma is still pretty strong across all events whereas Mountain View still appears to be relatively weak in the bio events. Teams that qualify for Nationals the previous year have an advantage IMO because they study an additional 4 to 7 weeks which should be helpful the following year. Once a team is eliminated at State, there is little to motivate them to continue study/working until much later in the calendar year.

Although I don't do Div C, I agree with what you said. Their soup results, for instance, were 11th and 13th - compared to North's 3rd and 10th. At princeton, although South placed 1st and 5th, it was evident that they stacked really hard - compared to North's unstacked team which placed 2nd.
Although they beat north at NJ states by 9 points and regs by 1, most, if all New Jersians can agree that many of the tests were either 1) of low quality and 2) graded oddly. Because of this, it's usually a toss up between the teams - whichever team doesn't bomb wins.
