Nah, the rules specifically ask for sig figs (which is appropriate since this is a physics event after all and not just mathematics, so measurement precision seems important).

Thanks, I always get confused when a logarithm is involved. (Is the mantissa significant? The characteristic? How many sigfigs do I keep? AAAAAAAH PANIC MODE)

Interestingly enough, there's a significant figure policy on soinc.org, but it only bothers with basic operations, which is strange when logarithms are ridiculously useful in Science Olympiad, even in B division (Thermodynamics B for one), even if they aren't usually found on B division tests.
