Yeah I'd agree with it being the former. We were pretty far off the top teams at MIT. Also, why A-B so low? They did pretty well split at MIT.

Didn't AB do the same last year? Although it's definitely more impressive this year with 20 more teams. I could probably switch AB with Chattahoochee, but I'll save that for the official prediction contest if either one has a surprising performance at States.

Maybe 7th is a bit too high but I don't think NT will be out of the top ten.

I think that's the kind of upset that is definitely possible, but otherwise I think Mira Loma will be top 5.

The National Competition might want to consider adding a few wildcard teams to beef up their competition based upon quality field Invitational results like Mira Loma, MIT, and Golden Gate. The number could be variable depending upon the year. So, for example, Mira Loma or Mtn View might get a wildcard depending upon who finishes first at NorCal State.

We actually had another recent thread discussing this exact topic. Long story short: it's more logistical trouble than it's worth, and is unlikely to ever be implemented.

I feel like Seven Lakes should be first, maybe second, but not third.
