another thing, where can you get electric motors that are fairly efficent? or do all motors have about the same eficency?

i think the easyiest place to get them is from a toy
but you can also get them at radio shack i think

RadioShack - maybe, but I'd doubt it.
I think a hobby store would be your best bet.
Or yes, you can rip them out of a lot of different things.
Motors aren't really measured in terms of efficiency. You can get all different sized motors that have varying speed and torque. By lowering the voltage you lower the speed. As far as power consumed goes, it's not going to really be an issue on this small scale.

i think it would probably be best if u built it from scratch with good materials.
