Re: Environmental Chem
I am going to C too. It's a shame I couldn't do Env. Chem. at Nats. I would have really liked to do it. (I had a conflict with Dynamic Planet)

Re: Environmental Chem
I really regret doing this event, it's so random! I had a question about George Washington Carver on my test. Did anyone come into this thinking it would be about hippie-like environmental protection?

Re: Environmental Chem
No, but I remember going to take the test at states with my partner. We pretty much guessed on all the answers, and still got 6th! And he was wearing a tux, too. (He had something for marching band later that day.)

Well, yes I did, actually.gyourkoshaven wrote:I really regret doing this event, it's so random! I had a question about George Washington Carver on my test. Did anyone come into this thinking it would be about hippie-like environmental protection?
Every time there's an event or class (*cough APES*) pertaining to the environment, there's always questions designed not to test your knowledge, but just to remind you that polluting is bad. Take AP environmental and you'll agree with me.
And a question on Carver is to be expected, he did so much with agriculture. The other person they ask about a lot is Rachel Carson, author of Silent Spring.

Re: Environmental Chem
There were three questions on porosity, and there was a lot of data interpretation. I believe the only labs that we actually did were the water retention and the titration. The rest was just interpretation of data that they gave you and general soil chemistry questions

Re: Environmental Chem
