Oh yeah, that's what I meant. lolsoobsession wrote:i think x_SOninja_x meant 2009-2010EASTstroudsburg13 wrote:I'm thinking you probably mean 2010-2011.x_SOninja_x wrote:As most of you probably know, Solar System is gonna be a 2011-2012 event.
It will be interesting what the event does with dwarf planets, as they're fairly new and aren't really planets, so I'm not sure how in depth they'll go into them. I would expect Ceres, Pluto, and Eris to be in there, but if they'll go to any others is beyond me. I wouldn't be surprised if they asked for the difference between a planet and a dwarf planet, however.

Re: Solar System
Do you have Java? You need it in order for the applet to work. It's pretty cool though. If they ask you to explain Kepler's Second Law though, you're probably going to have to mention how the line connecting the planet to the Sun spreads out equal areas in equal increments of time. But that pretty much specifies the baics, and it's really cool!

It doesn't work for me either.

Re: Solar System
I'm going to do this event! I like stars better, but if it's in space, I like it. I love studying the heavans, and I'm glad for a change... I mean there's only so much you can learn about stars...

Re: Solar System
Is there a good Solar System glossary out there? Could someone help me find one?
The only thing it said on the wiki was "good glossary full of astronomical terms".
I did see the glossary from one of the links on the bottom (website called nineplanets)
but it had all these random non-relevant definitions in it, like William Shakespeare and Congress.
