I agree with builderguy135 since COVID has been so impactful. A fair amount of schools (even teams that are historically extremely successful) are having trouble recruiting students since everything's online this year, as a big draw of Science Olympiad is travelling to competitions and working with partners in person. I expect schools in these situations would bounce back very strongly once COVID is less of a concern and competitions are largely in person.builderguy135 wrote: ↑December 16th, 2020, 1:37 pm > I expect Solon to be up there just like other years. I highly doubt they've fallen so far that they'd go from 2nd (they were second in '19, right?) to barely top 20, especially as a dynasty school.
I disagree. This kind of thing can happen - see Churchill, Community, etc.

Re: Way Too Early Predictions
Adi1008, I think this was well-said. The "bounce back" might not be quick/strong- this type of disruption to a program could have a multi-year impact on some schools, depending on how they are structured and what they are allowed/not allowed to do during this school year.Adi1008 wrote: ↑December 16th, 2020, 10:01 pmI agree with builderguy135 since COVID has been so impactful. Rooting for MSJ to pull off an upset, but MTV seems likely at the current moment.Umaroth wrote: ↑January 13th, 2021, 11:37 amI still have MTV but MSJ is still a strong contenderBennyTheJett wrote: ↑January 13th, 2021, 11:24 am Let's revive this.

Mira Loma results should be interesting, even if neither (or only Mountain View) stacked.
