MYSO doesn't seem too interesting compared to Mini-SO/SateliteSO. Its fine if you didn't take it. It'll come next month anyway.sciolyperson1 wrote: ↑September 24th, 2020, 8:06 pm MYSO Epidemiology test was today! I didn't take it, any thoughts from others?

I took it and was 90% THROUGH when it randomly reloaded into a 404 error page. I had to restart with 5 mins left so I didn't do very well. The test itself was pretty easy though I definitely would've finished.sciolyperson1 wrote: ↑September 24th, 2020, 8:06 pm MYSO Epidemiology test was today! I didn't take it, any thoughts from others?

... sciolyperson1 doesn't do disease, he was just encouraging discussion about this specific MYSO test in the appropriate subforum.Efesa wrote: ↑September 24th, 2020, 8:07 pmMYSO doesn't seem too interesting compared to Mini-SO/SateliteSO. I think that MYSO looks very cool, it's a good supplement to actual competitions (probably not fair to compare it to mini/satellite so because they're completely different concepts). I might participate in later months.

Re: Disease Detectives B/C
Yeah it was fun but I was really disappointed. Great start to the season though- there's nothing like a long test with a short time limit to get you in the SO spirit!EwwPhysics wrote: ↑September 25th, 2020, 7:19 am... sciolyperson1 doesn't do disease, he was just encouraging discussion about this specific MYSO test in the appropriate subforum.Efesa wrote: ↑September 24th, 2020, 8:07 pmMYSO doesn't seem too interesting compared to Mini-SO/SateliteSO. Re: Disease Detectives B/C
You could do more practice problems of those types, make a table with the different study types and their different characteristics, or keep the formulas for relative risk/odds ratio on your notesheet and make sure you also include the situations they're used in and what they tell you. With practice you'll get it!stlcards422 wrote: ↑October 30th, 2020, 8:34 pm the calculations for DD are the hardest for me, also with the study types (case-control etc.) any tips?
