Wikipedia gang 8-) it’s very helpful for every study event, I wish there wasn’t so much stigma around it.
also, unfortunately, many textbooks can be found online whether the creator(s) intended it or not, with enough digging around the internet...

Especially in A&P, Wikipedia can be really useful for explaining some topics in depth.

Yeah...I found out about how useful Wikipedia was way too late in the season.

did you buy the saladin pdf or did you just download it? I've noticed that Frederic Martini's doesn't cover the topics in depth.

Can someone please explain to me what this means? Why exactly does the dermal repair have to happen before the epithelial cells can cover the surface? Thank you.

The epidermis regenerates by proliferation of the stratum basale, and once it closes in, the epidermis grows upwards. The bottom layer of the epidermis determines where the dermis will be, so if the epidermis closes in before the dermis can properly grow upwards, then there will be a depression in the skin.

Hi I have a really quick question, I couldn't find the answer anywhere so I wanted to ask does the Orbicularis Oris have an antagonist? If yes, what is it?

From what I could find, it seems that the levator labii superioris muscle lifts the upper lip while the depressor labii inferioris muscle lowers the bottom lip. I guess these are opposite of the action of the orbicularis oris muscle, but I'm not sure.
