Agreed, although I think at this point it is safer to bet on Tri-North. Also, Munster is NOT weak.allofgarden wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:11 pm Well looks like second might actually matter now, for both divisions*
I'm betting RP gets the second nats bid in B and Munster gets second bid in C (although it would be cool to see a team like one of the bloomingtons or LC get a chance to go to Nats, I think with a lot of grind they could pull through seeing as Munster looked pretty weak stacked at UMich and even regs)
*(assuming we still have a state tournament ofc)

Re: Indiana 2020
I agree with boomifailure. I think with their performance at Butler, Tri-North has a good chance of getting second and is probably the favorite at this point. Also, I feel like Munster will probably get second in C just because they have a lot of experience and always seem to have a good performance at state.boomifailure wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:25 pmAgreed, although I think at this point it is safer to bet on Tri-North. not going for safe, im going for bold lol. i have a lot of faith in the rp coaches. also didn't say munster was weak, just that they have not had some of their best performances yet, so another team grinding equally as hard as them might have a chance.boomifailure wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:25 pmAgreed, although I think at this point it is safer to bet on Tri-North. Wait... Are Raymond Park coaches op or something? If so that would make a lot of sense because coaches do determine a lot and can sometimes carry weaker competitors.allofgarden wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:29 pmnot going for safe, im going for bold lol. i have a lot of faith in the rp coaches. also didn't say munster was weak, just that they have not had some of their best performances yet, so another team grinding equally as hard as them might have a chance.boomifailure wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:25 pmAgreed, although I think at this point it is safer to bet on Tri-North. Re: Indiana 2020
I am def not from RP, but I spent time with them last year and they had some extremely bright kids, as well as very dedicated coaches who are also very smart themselves. i don't think they "carry" the students but they are definitely dedicated to helping them succeedboomifailure wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:34 pmWait... Re: Indiana 2020
Oh, okay. However, a lot changes in a year and from Butler (the only comp I know they competed at) it seems like Tri-North is favorites. Also, after reading what you said maybe their fall off is because of loss of talent from the last year you spent with them?allofgarden wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:55 pmI am def not from RP, but I spent time with them last year and they had some extremely bright kids, as well as very dedicated coaches who are also very smart themselves. i don't think they "carry" the students but they are definitely dedicated to helping them succeedboomifailure wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:34 pmWait... Re: Indiana 2020
I actually agree with both of allofgarden's statements, especially the "quarantine yourself". I think that it is everyone's responsibility as a competitor/coach to not allow yourself/others to participate if they are sick as they don't know what they may be carrying.allofgarden wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 8:39 pmif you're sick please quarantine yourselfCornstalk wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 8:30 pmallofgarden wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 7:11 pm Well looks like second might actually matter now, for both divisions*
