I'm curious how device scores are looking, especially at the upper end. I'd expect around 38-42 out of 45 to be leading scores nationally.

That seems accurate, since we score around 41 in practice and 38 at invitationals, and usually only the top teams are beating us. I'd love to know what other teams are getting too though, since our lever is the most basic one you'll find.

Same here we've been getting around 41-42 at practice and 38-41 at invitationals. Also nationally I'd expect all top scores to be 43 plus.

Last time machines was a nats event, top score was about 98.1, so I'd expect about 44 as the top device score

The scoring formula weights time more heavily this year iirc. I would not expect more than exceptional teams to be below 30 seconds in B and 40 seconds in C (with effectively perfect ratio scores of course).

Best scores I've seen so far are roughly 42 in C and 41 in B, but that's at regionals. I could see a team hit 43 at Nats maybe. I'll be excited to see.

I would have to disagree. I do it in around 40 seconds but thats also me going pretty slow. I could definitely see teams getting sub 30 seconds (div c) and still getting perfect ratio scores.

How does one go about solving problem 11 from compound machines? It seems like there's an extra unknown variable all the time.
