Seeing as everyone in the Stevenson team was on both the green and gold team, I’m pretty sure that means we were not stacked.TheChiScientist wrote: ↑November 25th, 2019, 7:41 pmFrom my understanding they mixed their team very throughly. It probably won't be till Solon or UChicago where they show their true strength.hippo9 wrote: ↑November 25th, 2019, 7:39 pmI mean if Stevenson "stacked," they still got both of their teams in the top 3, while NT got none in the top 5...TheChiScientist wrote: ↑November 25th, 2019, 7:36 pm
Quite simple reasoning behind this. New Trier, Lyons Township, Crystal Lake Central, and many others went in using unstacked teams.
Only stacked teams would appear to be Stevenson and Naperville North. It will not be until UChicago where more conclusive results can be drawn.

Top scores were around 15-16 seconds.TheChiScientist wrote: ↑November 25th, 2019, 8:50 pmHehehe. Let just say we could have run PPP better than it went. Sorry for the 1 hour delay whoops. Had some depressurization issues so I had to stop launches and reset. I will say top scores where about 7+ secs but I expect that to improve. Very few teirs overall. Probably will improve later in the year.nat-hoo wrote: ↑November 25th, 2019, 8:30 pm I didn't take protein modeling, but my partner and I thought that disease detectives was pretty weird/more difficult than we had expected. The only other study event I had was fossils, which wasn't too bad imo. I think it's too early in the season to conclude which schools are the best at ping-pong parachute though, and that was a pretty bad event for most teams. Once people get more testing done, I think that event will get some better results.

Re: Illinois 2020
Neuqua Valley also stacked, and New Trier's superscore seems to show that they can still be competitive with both Neuqua Valley and Naperville North.TheChiScientist wrote: ↑November 25th, 2019, 7:36 pmQuite simple reasoning behind this. Anyone know why New Trier didn't make top 5? Seems weird that they didn't do better in Anatomy & Physiology, Ornithology, and their build events. I'm also surprised that Lyons Township Varsity didn't get at least in top 15 overall, given how well they normally do at state and regionals. Naperville North Varsity performed really strong at this invite, so it will be interesting to see how they do at others later in the season. It looks like they will give Stevenson and New Trier another run for their money at state. Any thoughts/predictions?
