I've notice that on the list, it lists the scientific name of the Clapper Rail as Rallus longirostris, but allaboutbirds lists it as Rallus crepitans. Which scientific name should I use?

Rules always take precedence.

But if it has the scientific name for one and the common name for another, which takes precedence in this case? owo

While studying the birds, I am noticing that some of the facts conflict each other from different sources. For example the clutch size or brood size of a bird will vary from Cornell, to Audobon to NG. What would be considered more definitive?

I use cornell but if you dont trust any, I would average them out or see if a clutch size is listed more often then others

I usually use Cornell as I believe it's the most accurate

Yes, add info about eggs and nests if you can. Not the most important thing, but they can test you on them.

Since Life History is such a broad topic, how would you recommend finding information and formatting your notes?

Since Life History is such a broad topic, how would you recommend finding information and formatting your notes?

allaboutbirds.org has a section specifically on Life History which basically shows habitat for like the seasons(like the breeding season) and specific food or behavior for each stage of life. I think it's pretty helpful for that. So for life history on my notes, I'm not putting like a section for that on my notes but on every other topic for my notes there's gonna be a little blurb about it.
