Of course it depends on the state, but I would say that a score of 1000 would get you a medal.annabelle0308 wrote:How many points does one usually have to earn to win a medal at regionals and also at states? Like if you tallied up the raw score from all the storable actions and timers and points for other things, what’s the minimum amount of those points needed to get a medal at regionals and what’s the minimum amount of those points needed to get a medal at states?

How does one reduce the heat on the hot side of a peltier device? We are using a heat sink/thermal paste with a cpu fan. Trying to get the cold side even colder to actuate a bimetallic strip.

Your idea is probably the best one, unless you can find some way to have the hot side sitting in an ice bath...

How are you guys planning on pouring the water for the golf ball? Looking for something with low energy input so something small can make a lot of water pour.

Re: Mission Possible C
I did a homemade buret from a syringe that used a straw (there's a how-to on youtube) . It dripped a little before being started, but was fairly easy to turn (we had it being turned by the 500g IP task), especially if you add some lubricate to the straw. Only problem is it takes time to pour the water, but we used it as a timer.saathvik02 wrote:How are you guys planning on pouring the water for the golf ball? Here's a public service announcement reminding everyone to weigh their masses, and make sure they are over 500g for sure. Didn't happen to me, but I've heard stories of people being at 499.95g (or in that general ballpark) and not getting the points...
