Re: Slowing down the ball
Er... I may not be in the event but have you considered using a high friction surface?reckingball62 wrote:How do I slow down the marble in the rollercoaster? Any idea will help.

Re: Slowing down the ball
This is probably a really stupid idea and I don’t know if it works but soaking it in dish soap if it is allowed?reckingball62 wrote:How do I slow down the marble in the rollercoaster? Any idea will help.

Re: Slowing down the ball
The ball could get a glancing hit on an angled wall.
Or, make the track go back up a little.
Again, I don't know much about this event, but these are just some of my ideas.

Re: Slowing down the ball
I love how all the ideas have come from people not in the event or Div. B.
New idea. Maybe use tape to slow the ball down?

Or you could try a higher incline.

Re: Slowing down the ball
I could help but you would need to be more specific. Like are you trying slow it down because your ball is launching off your device after a gap or are you talking about the timing mechanism?reckingball62 wrote:How do I slow down the marble in the rollercoaster? Any idea will help.

Re: Slowing down the ball
Where do you want to slow down the ball? In any part of the roller coaster, if you slow down the ball, you lose energy ==> less gap ==> less total score. The only place where you want to slow the ball down is at the very end, after the timer, but then there really isn't a point in slowing the ball down after the timer because the timer already slows the ball down.reckingball62 wrote:How do I slow down the marble in the rollercoaster? Re: Slowing down the ball
We just need it to take longer, so that we can use something to slow it in case the run time needs to be really long.Bread wrote:I could help but you would need to be more specific.
