Ok, clearly I've confused last year with some previous year or something... I seem to remember a 20 cm inclined plane task.

My Ideas:

1. The inclined plane must be shallower than 30 degrees.
2. Thus, the horizontal length must be at least 17.3 cm.
3. Meanwhile, another object must move 10 cm vertically.
4. What if... this task was combined somehow with the 10 cm motion required by the pulley task.

I'd have to cite 3.d., if by #4 you meant that the mass being pulled up by the pulley was the same as the mass involved in the inclined plane.

I do too, I think that was one of the tasks when I did it in Div B (2016)

From the ramp task, can we initiate the next action using the weight that's falling or does it have to be the object that's being pulled up a ramp?

It has to be the object pulled up. Otherwise, lifting the thing up the inclined plane is a dead-end task, and thus is a violation of the rules.

Would it be legal to have the load mass attached to the inclined plane via a wheel, hanging from the plane? I don't understand why it wouldn't be, and although my knowledge of mechanical advantage isn't the best I believe it has the same IMA. I'm somewhat worried about how event supervisors would view this.

I don’t personally see an issue with this. However, why are you trying to use a hanging wheel at all? A standard inclined plane with the weight sliding on top is far more space efficient.
