How do you abbreviate the events?

For anything Science Olympiad-related that might not fall under a specific event or competition.

Our school just calls everything by it's first word, or something related to that.

Anatomy and Physiology: Anatomy
Disease Detectives: Disease
Ecology: Eco
Invasive Species: Invasives
Microbe Mission: Microbe
Dynamic Planet: Dynamic
Meteorology: Meteo
Reach for the Stars: Reach
Road Scholar: Road
Rocks and Minerals: Rocks
Crime Busters: Crime
Food Science: Food
Hovercraft: no abbreviation, we all just call it hovercraft
Optics: same as hovercraft
Wind Power: wind
Mission Possible: Mission (sometimes we call it Mission Impossible
Scrambler: same as hovercraft
Towers: same as hovercraft
Wright Stuff: same as hovercraft
Bottle Rocket: Rockets
Experimental Design: Experimental
Fast Facts: Facts
Write It Do It: WIDI

Fun. Most of them just make sense to drop the last word or ending (Shock, Five Star, Junkyard, etc.), but here are a few that I like to say and/or write:

Widdy
Disease Det (because Dee Dee just doesn't sound right...did think about 'DiseaseD'--diseased--but that sounds weird, too)
Eco
Astro
Dee Pee
4N6
Mat Sci
Food Sci
Meteor (though some say Meteo...yuck)
Bee Pee Ell
Powders
