Re: Anatomy & Physiology B/C
What three arteries branch off from the aorta (at the aortic arch)? Where do they supply blood to?

Ok so there's the brachiocephalic artery, which supplies blood to the right arm and the brain(it bifurcates into the right subclavian and right common carotid arteries right?)Then there's the left common carotid artery( also supplies blood to the brain) and the left subclavian artery (supplies blood to the left arm).

Correct, for the most part. I wouldn't say that the right common carotid supplies blood for just the brain. I would include that it supplies blood to the right portion of the head and neck. Also remember to hide your answer.09821qh wrote:Ok so there's the brachiocephalic artery, which supplies blood to the right arm and the brain(it bifurcates into the right subclavian and right common carotid arteries right?)Then there's the left common carotid artery( also supplies blood to the brain) and the left subclavian artery (supplies blood to the left arm).
