Being a good writer in like an English class actually might be a hindrance rather than helping you be a good WIDI writer. This event is designed to be completely unlike Ex Design or other such events where good writing is the key. The key to this event is essentially using as poor of grammar as you possibly can. See strategy 4 of the wiki.

While this event does encourage communication between 2 people... it does kind of prohibit others from understanding, which is why I don't necessarily like the event. Good writers write in such a short hand form that while it is not technically a code, it may as well be for all the understanding other people would have.

Yeah, eak227 and I gave up on written material lists and numbering from the start. My writing is absolutely terrible in quality, form, and grammar, but it's still an effective means of communicating how to build a device. I would definitely agree with you, Eth; the event ends up promoting seclusive communication rather than a means of communication most people can fully understand.
