order [i]Coleoptera[/i] (duh)
family [i]Carabidae[/i], if I remember correctly
And it's definitely a tiger beetle. I don't think that's the complete species name though.

Manticora latipennis, a.k.a. the Monster Tiger Beetle. It even has an awesome name.

I'm pretty sure it was Tetrix, but was it arenosa or ornata? My money's on the former, but I'm not certain.
