How was Nationals?

After looking at the "Did you medal at Nationals?" thread from 2009, I thought this was necessary.

How was Nationals? Did you medal? How did your team do? Better or worse than expected?

our team got 36th this year, which was better than expected because we got 50 something last year
we have the answer to life, the universe, and everything

Better than I personally expected. I didn't think we'd make top 10 this year. :]
Nationals 2011: Flying Bird; team (Gelinas) ~ 7th
Nationals 2010: Optics ~ 9th; team (Gelinas) ~ 3rd

We did pretty good. We finished 26th overall, and medaled once(2nd place).

We did alright, 21st overall, and our team captured a first place in mission possible! But my events personally were pretty bad (on my part only, the tests were great!)
2009: Protein Modeling (4th) overall 7th
2010: Cell Bio (11), Write it Do it (10), overall 5th
2011: Disease (4), Microbe (10), Protein Modeling (5), Sounds of Music (2), overall 1st, nats 21
2012: Disease (4), Forestry (5), Microbe (-), Protein Modeling (6), Sounds of Music (7), TPS (7) overall 4th

It was really fun! I now understand what it takes to be competitive at the national level, and my team got 14th in our fist year at nationals. Next season is going to be intense.
