Re: Texas 2011
Friday was, to say the least, stupid. Anyone else had problems with Mission Possible? Seven Lakes got tiered two by the proctor because he was measuring the specs, bumped into the box, setting it off, halfway through when the balloon got stuck, he gave them 30secs to reset EVERYTHING. i mean, wth?
Then he took credit away from us on the lever when we touched our balloon.... >.<

Re: Texas 2011
Yeah, it went alright. I was kind of disappointed about Sounds of Music because instead of letting us explain everything freehanded, they asked questions. And even though we knew all the answers to the questions we knew SO much more. The room was cold but not cold enough to compensate for how flat I tuned the woodwind so ugh that sucked. But at least only like, 11 schools (?) competed in it.
Picture This was alright too, we just wished that the proctor walked faster :P
Also our appeal for Mission Possible got rejected :/
I wish I could have met up with you guys yesterday! (But that was when all of my events were so I couldn't have) Maybe next year :P

I agree, the Proctor for mission possible was pretty... cold to say the least. If you appealed to mission possible, did you try and get other teams to back you up? He seemed really pressured to do his job
When in doubt, C4.

Re: Texas 2011
I have no idea. Apparently the odd number block for Ex. Design got jipped out of like 7 minutes or something. We tried to appeal (And I think we did, but it got denied) and get support but I don't think we got enough support.
),:
On the other hand, Fossils and Chem lab were ran excellently! I really enjoyed the lab portion in chem lab, it was something I haven't really seen before, so that was fun.
