Re: High Speed Braking
I have been having some trouble with braking my vehicle. My run time is about 1.5s and I'm using a brushless setup. I have been having some trouble with the vehicle "fishtailing" and curving when the vehicle starts to decelerate. The vehicle brakes using the motor which is located in the ...

Re: Events 2016-2017
For Robot Arm, a more diverse range of competition would be better imo (many teams found it too easy). Something where even the worst teams can get a few points, and the best teams are more stratified than all perfect scores. The main reason I say this is because our state had at least 4 perfect sco...

Re: Pictures, Videos, Scores
Since I'm done with the season, here's my robot arm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIPpKp4DPOU I really like your approach on the ping pong balls and those back two pencils- they have been causing me grief in practice! Some questions about specs, though: what material were you using on the upper ...

Re: Pictures, Videos, Scores
Since I'm done with the season, here's my robot arm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIPpKp4DPOU Nice Arm! Very fluid movements. Care to comment on how you achieved that? That was probably due to super simplified code, and the BotBoarduino board, which was pretty effective. Other than that nothing ...

Re: It's About Time C
Hi so I saw this question on a practice test and didn't quite understand how the got the answer that they had on the key. The answer they had was 3:30am but I got 12:20am. Can anyone help me? Question: A 12hour clock reads 5:22 P.M. when it is actually 6:00 P.M., and it reads 7:34 P.M. when it is a...

Re: Robot Arm C
Out of curiosity, what was expected as the functional modifications for commercial kits? Changing the shape of the end effector/claw? I wouldn't think anyone would want to mess with the motors or controls on one of those. I mean honestly for the OWI kit the easiest modification is to make it longer...

Re: Optimal Precision and Consistency
I think +/- 2 cm precision with parts from home depot is more than doable. As long as you use the right materials and test enough that should be pretty easy.
